Husband-to-be has smashing time on stag night
    New Zealand Star

    (IANS)

A New Zealand man's pre-wedding stag night ended with him being arrested after he smashed a shop window with the ball-and-chain that friends attached to his leg during partying, a newspaper reported Monday.

It was a 'seriously heavy' ball, Police Sergeant Mel Aitken told the Otago Daily Times, and the 4-by-3 metre window was shattered as the 32-year-old was swinging it around about 2 a.m. Sunday after a night of celebrations in Dunedin.

Charged with causing wilful damage, he is due to appear in court Thursday in the South Island city, a couple of days before his wedding.
